First Women's Ministry Event
We called it "Where Our Hearts Are" to go along with the name of our women's ministry, "Sisters in Heart." We each brought a dish that reminded us of those we love, so we had lots of starches. (Only one person brought a green vegetable.) There were also a few cheesy games with even cheesier prizes involved, but no one complained. I did a devotion on Matthew 6:19-21 about storing up treasure in heaven, which raised a lot of questions about the practical application of the passage. The fellowship was encouraging, and we hope to get a group together to plan a few more activities.
Caleigh Being Caleigh
She has decided to act like a baby, crawling and carrying a pacifier, which she never used, after seeing the babies in the nursery at church. Who knows what she'll do when Brother Bear gets here.
Isn't she pitiful. She busted (burst) her lip twice in one week.
Again, she has the pacifier and is ready to take it to church.
Week 30
I don't want to gross anyone out, but here I am as big as I was the day I had Caleigh with 10 weeks still to go. The doctor said my belly is out of room, so I'm not sure where Barrett will go now. I'm hoping he will come a little early. I'm already to the point that I can't bend over or sleep, and I can barely pick Caleigh up.

Caleigh's First Haircut
We finally let my mom cut Caleigh's bangs since she was beginning to look a little raggedy. We gave her a sucker, and my mom took a few snips. When we looked at the amount of hair she took off, it looked like nothing, but I thought it made Caleigh look really different. It didn't really hit me that she had had a haircut until the next day. Without the shabby bangs, her little round face and especially round cheeks were accentuated more than usual, and I must admit she looked more like Grandma than ever. Now, it is growing out a bit, and I'm getting more used to it.

Rusty's 29th Birthday
Rusty had another down-home birthday - fried taters, fried chicken, pinto beans, and dirt cake. His favorite gift was a card that plays "Foggy Mountain Breakdown;" Caleigh also loved this gift as she danced, twisted, rolled, shook... for everyone. She is always our live entertainment. She also enjoyed wearing his new tennis shoes around.
Christmas
We had a wonderful, yet busy Christmas. Caleigh really got into the whole gift thing, which really surprised me. She had to rip every sheet of paper off every box, and she loved dumping out the bags. I'm not sure what her favorite gift was, but she liked her dog vacuum cleaner a lot. Even after Christmas, she is still being a good girl (even though we didn't threaten her with "You know Santa's watching). These pictures show her raising her hands when she is asked if she has been a good girl.
